What Duolingo score do you need for Ohio Wesleyan University?

You may self-report scores, but OWU requires official ones at the enrolment stage. The proficiency page notes that a Duolingo result includes a video interview and writing sample, which are shared with Ohio Wesleyan when you send your results.

The orientation assessment has a 60-item multiple-choice exam, a 45-minute writing sample and a short interview. Many students go straight into a full schedule; others are advised to avoid heavy reading or writing courses, or take one or two EAP courses.

For comparison, the proficiency page sets IELTS at 6.5, and the support page sets the assessment trigger at IELTS below 7.0.

OWU says students with lower English proficiency should still apply. If accepted, you may be required to take one or two credit-bearing English support courses in your first semester.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Ohio Wesleyan programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
