Test rules and how to send your score
Tests must have been taken within the past two years. The page lists Pearson at 46 but does not name PTE Academic Online or PTE Core, and gives no Pearson institution code.
IELTS is 5.5 with no band below 5.0 on the same page. PTE 46 has no per-skill floor, so a PTE taker does not face the band rule that applies to IELTS.

If you fall short
Students without proof are placed in the Intensive English Program after a test. It has four levels and takes one to four quarters depending on your starting level. Level 1 is not offered every quarter, so students starting at Level 2 should be at CEFR A2 or above.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Pierce College programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
