| Bachelor of Applied Hotel Management (Level 7) | 6.0, no band below 5.5 | University Entrance or equivalent |
| Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Hotel Management (Level 8) | 6.5, no band below 6.0 | Bachelor's in business or hospitality |

Other tests and the degree exemption
The bachelor's course page also accepts TOEFL at 213 on the computer-based test or 550 on the paper test as the alternative to IELTS 6.0. PTE Academic and Duolingo are not named on PIHMS's entry pages, so ask the school before booking either.
For the postgraduate diploma and the master's, you can skip the test if you hold a bachelor's degree or higher taught in English from a tertiary provider in Australia, Canada, Ireland, South Africa, the United Kingdom or the United States. A degree from India, Pakistan, Nigeria or Bangladesh is not on that list, so applicants from those countries should plan on a test.

English courses at PIHMS and how to check
PIHMS runs its own English language programmes that prepare students for IELTS, Cambridge and TOEFL, with content from IELTS 4.0 to 6.5 (B1+ to B2). The school is a working hotel campus, and the degree includes industry placement.
Applicants over 20 without University Entrance may be considered under special admission, at the enrolment team's discretion.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your PIHMS course page and in your offer, so check it there before you book a test.
Minimum vs competitive score
Where the Pacific International Hotel Management School (PIHMS) publishes an IELTS score, it is the minimum: the floor an application has to meet to be considered, not a score that guarantees an offer.
Competitive programmes, and courses with far more applicants than places, may expect more than the minimum, and some departments set their own overall or per-skill scores, often for writing or speaking. The course page has the final word, so check it before you book a test.
If you are close to the line, aim for a margin above it: one weak skill can miss the requirement even when the overall band clears it. Not sure where you stand? Take a free IELTS mock test and get a band for each skill.
