Test rules and how to send your score
Pittsburg State gives step-by-step sending instructions: log in to your Pearson PTE account, open Current Activity, choose Send Scores next to the test, search for Pittsburg State University and select it. No code is needed. The page does not mention PTE Academic Online, PTE Core or a validity period.
IELTS is 6.0 overall with 5.0 in each band on the same page, alongside PTE 47. For the majors that need PTE 53, IELTS rises to 6.5 with 5.5 in each band. Unlike IELTS, PTE has no per-skill floor here.

If you fall short
Students without a passing TOEFL, IELTS, PTE or Duolingo score can be offered conditional admission for most programmes. They must complete the highest level of PSU's Intensive English Program before starting academic courses, and its Academic Preparation Course counts as the equivalent of TOEFL 79.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Pittsburg State programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
