What IELTS score do you need for Portage College?

Three years of full-time study in English at a secondary or post-secondary school in an exempt country meets the requirement. The list includes Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Singapore, the UK, Ireland, the US, Australia and New Zealand. India, Pakistan and Bangladesh are not on it.

You can also qualify with two years of full-time study at an English-language secondary school in Canada, including Grade 11 and 12 English with at least 50 per cent in each, or one full year of coursework at a Canadian post-secondary institution taught in English.

Practical Nursing has advanced English requirements above the general ones, published on the program page. Scores must be valid and verifiable and must not expire before your first day of classes, so a result close to two years old can fail even if it was valid when you applied.

Requirements vary by program and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Portage College program page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
