PTE centres in the USA by state
The table groups every US entry in Pearson's test centers and fees finder, read on 10 October 2026. Pearson's list also contained one internal entry in Bloomington, Minnesota marked for other deliveries only, which we have not counted. Addresses are left out on purpose; the finder and your booking confirmation give the current ones.

Sixteen states had no centre on Pearson's list: Alaska, Delaware, Idaho, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Montana, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, Wisconsin and Wyoming. From Tennessee or Kentucky, the nearest listed centres include Birmingham, Indianapolis and Columbus; from Utah, Las Vegas or Phoenix.
If travel is impossible and you only need PTE for a university application, PTE Academic Online (USD 275) can be taken at home, but Pearson says governments do not currently accept it for visas, and VisaScreen does not accept at-home tests (PTE fee in the USA).

Pearson's finder does not show which centre runs which test on which day. When you book, choose the exact test first (PTE Academic, Academic UKVI, Core or Home) and then the city; only centres with slots for that test appear. Slots can be booked at least 24 hours ahead (Pearson's booking guide).
PTE is far easier to sit for a UK visa in the US than IELTS: PTE Academic UKVI is sold at the national USD 275 price, while IELTS for UKVI is only offered in Arlington, Virginia (IELTS test centres in the USA). See PTE vs IELTS for a UK visa, then take a free PTE mock test before you book.
