Retakes, validity and verification

Queen Mary accepts IELTS One Skill Retake if the scores meet its requirements, and normally accepts only the latest result of a test. IELTS General Training is not accepted, nor are TOEFL MyBest scores. Duolingo does not appear on the accepted tests page.

Tests should be no more than two years old at the course start date. If you are a national of a country not on UKVI's differential evidence list, your test must be verifiable by Queen Mary at source. Law postgraduates whose writing is 0.5 below the requirement may enter through an in-sessional writing course instead of a pre-sessional.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Queen Mary programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
