What TOEFL score do you need for RIT?

RIT's ETS code is 2760. Undergraduates can self-report scores and send official scores once they choose to enrol. Graduate applicants can self-report to apply, but official scores sent by ETS are required before the first term as a condition of admission; any department code works.

Graduate admissions accepts the TOEFL iBT and TOEFL iBT Home Edition, but not MyBest scores or TOEFL Essentials. Both pages say TOEFL scores are valid for two years and that RIT accepts either the old or the new scale within that period. Deaf and hard-of-hearing test takers with significant hearing loss do not need the listening and speaking sections.

All admitted undergraduates in the conditional range must take English language instruction for non-native speakers before starting academic coursework. At graduate level, sub-scores below the balanced level are used to decide whether you need extra English language courses.
