How WPI handles TOEFL scores
Graduate applicants who need to send scores ask ETS to release them to institution code 3969; all departments use the same code. WPI accepts the TOEFL home test. The pages read today do not mention MyBest scores or a validity period.
Graduate applicants can request a waiver by email if they completed two years (four semesters) of full-time continuous study in an English-speaking country within the last five years, or have three or more years of work experience in the United States.
For comparison, the graduate page sets IELTS at 6.5 for most programmes (7 for Business master's), and the undergraduate page recommends IELTS 7.0 with no band below 6.5.

If your TOEFL score is below WPI's level
WPI's FAQ suggests retaking the test. It says applicants below the minimum are not automatically disqualified, but low scores count against the application. Neither page describes conditional admission or a pathway programme.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your WPI programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
