What IELTS score do you need for Rose Bruford College of Theatre and Performance?

The college's visa guidance for international students (October 2026) lists the accepted alternatives. For undergraduates: PTE Academic UKVI 59 with 59 in each part, TOEFL iBT 4.0 with 4.0 in each part, LanguageCert Academic 60 with 60 in each part, LanguageCert B2 Communicator 33 in each part, Trinity ISE II Pass or PSI Skills for English B2 Pass. For postgraduates: PTE Academic UKVI 65 with 60 in each part, TOEFL iBT 4.5 with 4.0 in each part, LanguageCert Academic 70 with 60 in each part, or Trinity ISE II with Merit.

IB Diploma English Language, or English Language and Literature, counts at HL 4 or SL 5 for undergraduates and HL 5 or SL 6 for postgraduates. Duolingo is not on the list.

Rose Bruford records on your CAS how it assessed your English, and nationals of non-English speaking countries must prove the required level. You must enter the same details in your visa application as appear on the CAS. Graduates of a UK degree can apply for the Graduate visa from inside the UK before their Student visa expires.

The college teaches BA and MA degrees in performance, design and production arts, and says students are close to London's theatres.
