What PTE score do you need for San Jose State University?

Undergraduate score reports must be sent electronically by the testing centre to SJSU after you submit a Cal State Apply application, and SJSU tells you when through your MySJSU To Do List. Graduate applicants send official PTE score reports to SJSU from the PTE portal. At both levels PTE scores must be less than two years old. The pages do not mention PTE Academic Online or PTE Core.

On the same pages, IELTS needs 6.0 for undergraduate majors outside engineering and 6.5 for engineering, and 6.5 (Academic or Online Academic) for graduate study.

SJSU does not accept an English-medium of instruction letter as a substitute for a test, and the graduate page says letters from applicants or institutions will not be accepted. Graduate applicants may be exempt only with a bachelor's degree from an institution where English is the principal language of instruction, as SJSU defines it.
