If you fall short
Cal State East Bay points applicants whose English is not high enough for direct admission to its Intensive English Program through Global Academy. The requirement can also be waived for graduate applicants with a US accredited degree, for first-year applicants with three years at a US high school, and for applicants educated in a listed country.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Cal State East Bay programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
