What IELTS score do you need for South East Technological University?

SETU's policy says the required scores must be achieved in a single sitting and results must typically be issued within two years of the programme start date. Applicants from majority English-speaking countries on SETU's list, or with a Level 8 or 9 qualification from a recognised institution in such a country, are exempt; India is not on the list.

SETU's postgraduate entry requirements page says conditional offers may be issued without an English certificate, but cannot be accepted until the certificate is submitted. A position on IELTS One Skill Retake, IELTS Online or TOEFL's new 1 to 6 scale is not stated by SETU.

For undergraduate entry, SETU's table also accepts an overall pass in SETU's Certificate in English for Academic Study or Certificate in Academic English. Course dates, length and entry scores for these certificates are not stated on the English requirements page. A postgraduate equivalent is not listed.

The study visa is a separate check: the Irish Immigration Service sets a visa minimum of IELTS Academic 5.0 (PTE Academic 30) for courses other than second-level, foundation or English language courses, and says your college's own minimum may be different.
