What PTE score do you need for SIUE?

SIUE's English proficiency page says scores must come from a test taken within the last two years, sent directly from the testing service to the Office of Graduate and International Admissions, and that copies of score reports are not accepted. It gives SIUE's institutional code as 001759 with no department code needed. The page does not mention PTE Academic Online or PTE Core.

For comparison, the same page asks IELTS 6.5 for graduate study against PTE 53, and IELTS 6.0 with no component below 5.5 for undergraduates against PTE 50. Note that the undergraduate IELTS rule has a component floor while the PTE line does not.

SIUE's English proficiency page describes an Intensive English Pathway route. Its qualifying scores are listed for IELTS (5.0), TOEFL, Duolingo and the Michigan English Test, but no PTE figure is given, so ask admissions before relying on a PTE score for the pathway.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your SIUE programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
