What PTE score do you need for St. John's University?

The undergraduate page says the scores apply from the fall 2026 term. It does not mention PTE Academic Online, PTE Core, a validity period or a PTE sending code. When an English test score is provided, SAT or ACT is optional unless your programme requires it.

On the same page, IELTS 6.5 matches direct admission at PTE 53 and IELTS 6 matches ELITE admission.

ELITE students enrol full-time in their degree and take a mix of credit-bearing ESL and content courses; the ESL credits may count as electives or towards a foreign language requirement. Transfer students who want to be reviewed for conditional admission do not need to submit a test score.

At graduate level, conditional admission requires completing Level 10 of The Language Connection's English Language Institute, with placement by an ELI test on arrival. The page says almost all graduate programmes take part.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your St. John's programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
