What IELTS score do you need for Stephen F. Austin State University (SFA)?

Students educated and earning a diploma or degree in English in a listed country are exempt. The list includes Australia, Canada (except Quebec), Ghana, Ireland, Kenya, Nigeria, Singapore and the UK. A second list, including Botswana, Sierra Leone, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe, counts only for post-secondary degrees. India and Pakistan are not on either list.

Other routes are a US high school diploma, associate degree or higher earned within two years before starting at SFA, transfer with a 2.50 GPA, 24 credit hours and a B in ENGL 1301 and 1302, ELS Level 112, or set levels at the Texas Intensive English Program. Waivers are not available for the Educator Preparation, Counseling or Student Affairs and Higher Education programmes.
