What IELTS score do you need for the University of North Texas?

UNT also accepts the Michigan English Test (section scores of 54) and Cambridge C1 Advanced or C2 Proficiency. Tests must be taken within two years before you apply and expire after two years, unless you have been continuously enrolled at a US college since before they expired. TOEFL MyBest and IELTS One Skill Retake scores are not accepted. Completing Level 6 at UNT's Intensive English Language Institute also meets the requirement; conditional admission is not stated by UNT.

You are exempt as a citizen of, or with a degree from, an approved English-speaking country such as Australia, Canada (except Quebec), Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa or the UK. India is not on the list. See English language proficiency.

UNT uses one English page for all international applicants. Undergraduates can also qualify with SAT 560 on both Critical Reading and Writing, ACT English 21, AP English Language 5, IB English A1 HL 5 or a C in GCSE or IGCSE English, or by graduating after three years at a high school in an approved country.
