What IELTS score do you need for Stockholm University?

Stockholm University warns that some programmes, for example some offered by the Department of English, have compulsory tests with higher scores than the general requirement.

The Master's Programme in English Language and Linguistics asks for C1 level: IELTS Academic, IELTS Online or UKVI 7.5 with 7.0 in writing, TOEFL iBT 5 in all sections and 5.5 in writing (or 102 with 27 in writing), PTE Academic 76 with 82 in writing, or Cambridge C1 Advanced grade B. The English-language Literature specialisation of the Master's Programme in Literature asks IELTS 7.5 with no module under 7, and says the usual Universityadmissions.se exemptions do not apply.

Stockholm University does not accept late documents or test results: your proof of English must reach University Admissions by the supporting-documents deadline. It also says it does not offer preparatory English courses.

University Admissions verifies IELTS online through the TRF number and can accept results older than two years if they can still be verified; TOEFL can be verified for up to two years after the test date. For PTE, assign your result to "University Admissions in Sweden". You can also meet English 6 with 60 ECTS taught in English in the EU/EEA, Switzerland or listed English-speaking countries, or a bachelor's from listed African countries such as Ghana, Kenya and Nigeria.

Stockholm University's English pages we read do not set a separate English score for the student residence permit. Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Stockholm University programme page and in your admission decision, so check it there before you book a test.
