How the SI scholarship links to English
The SI page says you must be liable for tuition fees, pay the application fee on time, and be admitted (or conditionally admitted) to an eligible master's on the day of admissions announcements. Reserve places and late admissions are not considered. Eligible programmes are English-taught master's in governance, public health, entrepreneurship and innovation, and STEM. The 2027/2028 programme list is due on 13 November.
The SI application itself must be completed in English, and SI says it is open from 8 to 24 February 2027, closing at 14:59 CET on the final day.
English 6 test scores at University Admissions
University Admissions says most master's ask for English 6/English Level 2, a few ask for English 5 or English 7 (universityadmissions.se).

Tests that do not count
University Admissions does not accept IELTS General Training or IELTS Indicator. For TOEFL it does not accept ITP, MyBest scores, Institutional TOEFL or TOEFL Essentials, and it does not accept TOEFL Examinee Score Records. Scores must be verifiable online, or they are not accepted.

What IELTS score do I need for an SI master's?+
Most master's ask for English 6, which is IELTS 6.5 with no section below 5.5. Some programmes ask for more.
Can I get the SI scholarship if I am on the reserve list?+
No. You must be admitted on the first admissions announcement day; reserve places are not considered.
Does an English 7 programme need a higher IELTS?+
Yes. University Admissions sets English 7 at IELTS 7.0 with no section below 6.
