Test rules, sending scores and the IELTS comparison
TalTech accepts PTE Academic Online. A PTE score is valid for two years only and must remain valid until the beginning of the academic year of your intake. Upload the Test Taker Score Report to DreamApply and also send the result electronically to Tallinn University of Technology through your Pearson account. PTE Core is not mentioned.
On the same page, IELTS Academic needs 6.0 overall with at least 5.5 in each component; IELTS Academic Online and One Skill Retake are accepted.

If your PTE score falls short
TalTech says no methods other than those listed are accepted, applications without the required proof are rejected, and requirements must be met by the application deadline. The page does not describe a pathway course with a PTE entry score.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your TalTech programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
Pearson has discontinued PTE Academic Online for new bookings, so plan on a test-centre PTE Academic sitting even where this page still lists the online version. See can you take PTE at home.
