What Duolingo score do you need for Tennessee Tech?

The graduate catalog splits programmes into two groups with different TOEFL and PTE levels, but the Duolingo minimum is 100 in both. It asks you to check the specific college or department for the level needed.

Graduate applicants from listed countries where English is an official language do not need a test. None of the pages gives a Duolingo validity period.

For comparison, the undergraduate page sets IELTS at 5.5, and the graduate catalog sets 6.0.

Graduate applicants can also qualify through ELS Language Centers Level 112, though the documentation page says this does not apply to Education. The undergraduate admissions section links to pages on conditional admission and the Center for ESL, but the ESL requirements page states no Duolingo entry level for them.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Tennessee Tech programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
