What TOEFL score do you need for Texas State University?

Undergraduate scores are accepted only if sent directly from the testing service; Texas State's TOEFL school code is 006667. At both levels, scores older than two years or from a single-skill exam are not accepted. The Graduate College does not accept MyBest scores, so minimums must be met in a single exam.

For all teacher and professional certification programmes, the Texas Education Agency requires a TOEFL iBT score regardless of home country.

Neither page describes conditional admission. Undergraduates can meet the requirement through three full years of regular English at an accredited US high school, or 30 or more transferable credits including College Writing I and II with grades of C or higher. Graduate applicants with a degree from a listed exempt country are automatically exempt; degrees earned only in India, Nepal, Cameroon or Zimbabwe still need a test.
