THWS English language entrance requirements
From THWS's language entrance requirements page for non-German-speaking degree programmes. The page says some programmes require a different level, listed on the by-programme page.

Waivers and programmes
Native speakers are exempt. So are applicants whose school-leaving or academic qualification was in English, where a document from the school or institution certifying this is enough. A German school-leaving certificate counts at B2 if English is graded at least sufficient.
PTE and Duolingo are not listed, but the page says the listed tests are accepted in particular, so other certificates may be assessed after you apply. If one is not accepted, a note appears in the THWS CampusPortal. The page states no validity period.
English-taught programmes on the by-programme page, all at B2 for English, include the M.Sc. Artificial Intelligence, the MBA International Business with Regional Focus, the M.A. Managing Global Dynamics and the M.Eng. Business and Engineering.

German and checking
Some English-taught programmes also list a German level. The MBA International Business with Regional Focus lists A1 and the M.Sc. Artificial Intelligence A2, but Digital Business Systems lists C1. Read your programme row before you apply.
English requirements in Germany are set per programme and can change between intakes. The score that binds you is the one on your THWS programme page and in your admission letter, so check it there before you book a test.
Minimum vs competitive score
Where Technical University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt (THWS) publishes an IELTS score, it is the minimum: the floor an application has to meet to be considered, not a score that guarantees an offer.
Competitive programmes, and courses with far more applicants than places, may expect more than the minimum, and some departments set their own overall or per-skill scores, often for writing or speaking. The course page has the final word, so check it before you book a test.
