What Duolingo score do you need for Towson University?

Towson's international admissions FAQ says it accepts TOEFL, IELTS, Duolingo and PTE Academic scores sent directly from the testing service. Neither page gives a Duolingo validity period.

Any student who attended school outside the US must show English proficiency. Undergraduates may be exempt after at least three years of education in a listed country, and graduate students with a bachelor's degree or higher and a 3.0 GPA from one of those countries.

For comparison, the same English proficiency page sets IELTS at 6.0 with bands of 5.5 for undergraduates and 6.5 with bands of 6.0 for graduate students.

The TU English Language Center (ELC) is listed as an alternative. Undergraduates meet the requirement by completing ELC Level 5, and graduate students by completing ELC Level 6 with a grade of B or better.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Towson programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
