What Duolingo score do you need for UMGC?

Official score reports must be sent directly from the testing agency, and graduate reports go to Student Academic Records. All TOEFL, IELTS, EIKEN and Duolingo scores must be no more than two years old.

UMGC no longer issues the Form I-20 for F-1 student status, though students outside the US may be eligible to study online. Applicants from approved English-speaking countries, or with qualifying US study, meet the requirement without a test.

For comparison, the same page sets IELTS at 6 for undergraduates and 6.5 for graduate applicants, both including the academic reading and writing modules.

The page does not describe conditional admission. Graduate applicants can instead show proficiency with an official transcript showing at least 12 credits of graduate coursework at B or higher from an approved institution, and undergraduates with at least 24 credits or an associate degree from an accredited US college.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your UMGC programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
