Test rules and how PTE compares with IELTS
Troy accepts a PDF copy of English proficiency results and verifies scores with the testing agency; only SAT and ACT must come electronically with code 1738. Medium of instruction letters are not accepted. The page does not mention PTE Academic Online, PTE Core or a validity period.
On the same page, IELTS is 5.5 for undergraduates and 6.0 for graduates, and TOEFL is 3.5 (old scale 61) and 4.0 (old scale 70). PTE 46 and 54 line up with those levels.

If you fall short
Troy's page describes an ESL intensive English programme for beginning, intermediate and advanced students. It does not state a PTE entry score for that programme or a conditional admission rule.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Troy programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
