What Duolingo score do you need for Truman State University?

Official scores must be sent by your testing agency directly to Truman State University. You may also meet the requirement by transferring English composition credits from a US university.

Waivers are available for US citizens and for students who completed most of their secondary schooling in a country on Truman's approved list. The page gives no Duolingo validity period or subscore rule.

For comparison, the same requirements page sets IELTS at 6.5, or 7.0 for nursing applicants.

You can apply as a conditional student. You must then complete a Level 9 certificate in English at The Language Company on the Truman campus, or an approved alternative ESL programme in the US, before full admission. Visiting and exchange students cannot apply as conditional students.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Truman State programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
