What PTE score do you need for TU Dublin?

Results must come from a single sitting, and you cannot combine results of several tests. Your certificate must have been issued within two years of the expected start of your course. The page lists Pearson PTE Academic and does not mention PTE Academic Online or an institution code.

Pearson's own PTE Core FAQ describes PTE Core as a general English test that is initially suitable only for work and migration routes to Canada, and says PTE Academic is the test accepted for university study.

For comparison, the same page sets the IELTS Academic minimum at 6.0 with no less than 6 in each component, so the PTE route has no per-skill floor while IELTS does.

International Foundation Programmes need IELTS 5 or equivalent with at least 5 in each component; the comparison table places IELTS 5 alongside PTE 55. For postgraduate applicants, TU Dublin may also accept other evidence, such as a degree taken through English or in an English-speaking country.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your TU Dublin programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
