UMass Lowell PTE minimums by level and college
The graduate standards page says English thresholds are set by each academic department. The figures below come from the undergraduate international page and the graduate requirement pages for engineering, sciences and business.

Test rules and how to send PTE to UMass Lowell
The graduate standards page lists PTE Academic as accepted and says official scores must be sent by the testing agency to the Office of Graduate Admissions. It gives school code 3911 as UMass Lowell's code; the undergraduate page gives 3911 for TOEFL. Neither page mentions PTE Academic Online or validity.
For comparison, engineering and sciences ask IELTS 6.5 against PTE 53, business asks IELTS 7.0 against PTE 72, and first-year undergraduates need IELTS 6.5 against PTE 61.

If your PTE score falls short
The undergraduate page says UMass Lowell partners with ASC English to prepare applicants who meet all other criteria but not the English requirement. The graduate pages accept ASC English Level 6 instead of a test score. No PTE entry score for ASC English is given.
