What IELTS score do you need for Universiti Brunei Darussalam?

The graduate international students page gives the same general figure for all programmes: IELTS 6.0, TOEFL 550 or Band B2 in the UBD English Proficiency Test (UBD-EPT).

The University Bridging Programme (Unibridge) lists the same English options as its general requirement.

Because UBD accepts school English grades and its own test, many applicants from Brunei, Malaysia and Singapore never sit IELTS. Applicants from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal and Nigeria usually need IELTS or TOEFL unless they hold an accepted O-Level or IGCSE result. UBD's international students page says it first opened mainly to ASEAN students and now also draws applicants from East Asia, Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

UBD says that meeting the general and specific entry requirements does not guarantee a place, because admission to all programmes is competitive and limited by available spaces. Each programme also sets specific entry requirements, such as A-Level points and subjects, listed on the entry requirements page.
