Aberdeen's Duolingo rules
Both pages accept tests taken from 1 July 2024 onward, and certification must be within the two years before your course starts unless stated otherwise. The postgraduate page adds that you must share your results with the University of Aberdeen before they can be reviewed.
For comparison, the undergraduate page sets IELTS Academic or IELTS UKVI Academic at 6.0 with Writing 6.0 and 5.5 in the other skills, and the postgraduate page sets the standard level at 6.5 with the same component minimums. Neither accepts IELTS Online.

If your Duolingo score is short
Aberdeen runs Pre-Sessional Academic English courses on campus and online. The undergraduate page says its pre-sessional result is valid for one year, with a refresher course possible if the result is out of date.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Aberdeen programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
