What PTE score do you need for the University of Calgary?

The calendar does not mention PTE Academic Online, PTE Core or a PTE validity period. It says that if you submit an English test score, even when not required, it will be considered and must meet the minimums. Law, Graduate Studies, the Cumming School of Medicine (except Health Sciences and Community Rehabilitation) and Veterinary Medicine set their own English rules.

In the same table IELTS Academic is 6.5 for most programmes, 7.0 with no band below 7.0 for Nursing and 8.0 with no band below 7.0 for Education. Graduate studies pairs PTE 59 with IELTS 6.5 (no section below 6.0). Neither page gives a Pearson institution code.

The undergraduate page offers the Academic Communication Certificate (ACC), UCalgary's English pathway, which takes 4 to 11 months and may allow conditional admission to a degree. The graduate page accepts the ACC with at least B+ in each course. The pages do not give a PTE entry score for the ACC.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your University of Calgary programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
