Test rules at Copenhagen

MyBest scores are not accepted. You upload your score report in the application portal; if you do not have it by the deadline, you can upload an official document with your Appointment No. and the university will verify it. TOEFL results are valid for two years and cannot be older than two years at the 1 September or 1 February study start.

From the 1 September 2026 intake, the page says all master's programmes use a common deadline for language documentation and minimum TOEFL and IELTS subscores at both English levels.

On the same page, English B with IELTS needs 6.5 overall with at least 6 in each subscore, and English A needs 7 with at least 6.

If your TOEFL score falls short

Copenhagen says documentation must reach it by the application deadline, and a test passed after the deadline will be rejected. If you meet English A you also meet English B, and Danish, Nordic, EU, IB or EB upper secondary English at the right level can count instead of a test.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Copenhagen programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
