What PTE score do you need for the University of Hawaii at Manoa?

The undergraduate page lists PTE-A in the English proficiency table used by the English Language Institute. It does not mention PTE Academic Online, PTE Core, a validity period or a way to send PTE scores, so ask the Office of Admissions how it wants your report before you sit the test.

On the same undergraduate table, IELTS Academic is 5.5 for admission through the ELI and 7.0 for ELI-exempt admission, so PTE 44 and 68 sit at those two levels. The graduate page accepts TOEFL iBT, TOEFL Essentials, IELTS Academic (including IELTS Online), Duolingo and Cambridge C1 Advanced or C2 Proficiency, with scores no more than two years old.

An undergraduate PTE score from 44 up to 67 still meets the admission level, but you come in through the English Language Institute rather than as ELI exempt. Below 44, the page lists experience-based routes such as a UH Manoa English 100 equivalent or set periods of schooling in listed English-speaking countries.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your UH Manoa programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
