What PTE score do you need for the University of Helsinki?

Upload a copy of your score with your Score Report Code to the application form; Helsinki then verifies it with the test organiser. PTE Academic UKVI is accepted on both pages, and PTE Academic Online is accepted on the master's page. PTE Core is not mentioned.

Scores are valid for two years and must be valid throughout processing, meaning they must not expire before the deadline for supplementing the application. If your score expires just after that deadline, submit it so it stays valid for at least two weeks after you submit. On the same pages, IELTS Academic is 6.5 with 6.0 in every section.

Neither page describes a conditional admission route with a PTE entry point. The writing floor of 61 is the usual trap: a 70 overall with 58 in writing does not qualify. Book early, since the page warns results can take time to publish.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Helsinki programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.

Pearson has discontinued PTE Academic Online for new bookings, so plan on a test-centre PTE Academic sitting even where this page still lists the online version. See can you take PTE at home.
