UL TOEFL minimums

Test rules at UL
The postgraduate page says your English language competency certificate must be dated within the last two years, and that candidates may also be asked to show their English at interview. Neither page mentions the Home Edition or MyBest scores.
On the same pages, IELTS is 6.5 overall with no component below 6.0, Academic IELTS only, and some programmes ask for a higher IELTS score.
The undergraduate page gives only the 0 to 120 figure. TOEFL iBT reports issued since January 2026 also carry a 1 to 6 score; see our guide to the new TOEFL score scale.

If your TOEFL score falls short
Both pages say offer holders who do not meet the English requirement can take pre-sessional English classes at the UL Language Centre on campus.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your UL programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
