What PTE score do you need for the University of New Mexico?

The University of New Mexico asks for a Pearson Test of English score of 47 for undergraduate admission and 53 for graduate admission. You submit PTE by uploading your results page, not through a code. UNM lists Pearson PTE Express separately, at 76 for undergraduates and 85 for graduates. Undergraduates below the minimum can seek conditional admission through CELAC.

UNM's English proficiency page says to upload your PTE results page; PTE Express scores go through the Pearson website. The page does not mention PTE Academic Online, PTE Core or a validity period.

If your PTE score falls short

UNM can issue an undergraduate conditional admission letter to students who meet every academic requirement except English, according to the CELAC page. They must complete the CELAC programme with CELAC's recommendation before moving to academic study. Graduate conditional admission is applied for through the graduate department.
