What IELTS score do you need for the University of Northampton?

These course pages were read on 8 October 2026; none states a PTE score. Adult Nursing BSc also needs a successful interview by the university, and the Computing MSc page gives an overall score without component minimums.

Northampton's South Asia page says that after an internal review in June 2026 it has paused new student recruitment from Pakistan, and that it does not accept direct applications from Bangladesh. It also says proficiency letters will not be accepted. Its how to apply page says residents of India, Pakistan, Nigeria and several other countries must apply through its Principal Representative.

School English for Indian state boards, NECO, Pakistan HSSC and Nepal NEB is not stated by Northampton.

Northampton's how to apply page sets the deposit for undergraduate and taught postgraduate courses at £7,000, and its fees page says a refund before a CAS may keep £1,000 in some cases. Its key dates page says January 2027 applications are open, with no deadline published, and that applications may close at short notice for any intake. A university pre-CAS interview is not stated.

Northampton's distance-learning Pre-sessional English Programme costs £1,350 for 4 weeks, £2,200 for 6 weeks and £3,600 for 11 weeks in 2026/27. Entry needs IELTS for UKVI (not IELTS Academic): 6.0 (5.5), 5.5 (5.0) or 5.0 (4.5). Course dates are listed as to be confirmed.
