What Duolingo score do you need for the University of the Incarnate Word?

UIW needs proof of English proficiency for admission and before it issues the Form I-20 or DS-2019. The page gives no Duolingo validity period or sending instructions.

Students who complete secondary education or a degree in Australia, Canada (excluding Quebec), New Zealand or the UK are exempt; other English-speaking countries are reviewed case by case.

For comparison, the same page sets IELTS Academic at 6.5 for both undergraduate and graduate admission.

UIW's conditional admission page says you can apply without English proficiency scores. UNAM-San Antonio, UIW's intensive English provider, issues an I-20 for intensive English courses only, with August and January intakes. Completing UNAM-San Antonio's Academic Preparation Course at the required exit level also meets the requirement.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your UIW programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
