What IELTS score do you need for the University of Turku?

Turku does not set a fixed age limit. Instead, your result must be verifiable online until one month after the application period ends (21 February 2027 for this round), and attached by the end of the supplementation period on 28 January 2027. Turku notes that IELTS cannot be verified after three years, and TOEFL and PTE after two, so an older test is no longer valid.

Duolingo is not among the accepted tests. Pick University of Turku as a score recipient when you book, where the test allows it.

You do not need a test if you hold a bachelor's, master's or doctoral degree from an English-language programme in the EU/EEA or one of Turku's listed countries. India is on that list, along with countries such as Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, the Philippines and Singapore; Pakistan, Nepal and Bangladesh are not.

At least half of the degree must have been completed in English in a listed country, and the language of instruction must be stated on your degree certificate, transcript or diploma supplement, or in an official statement. Degrees from other countries do not count, whatever their language of teaching.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Turku programme page and in your offer, so check it there before you book a test.
