What PTE score do you need for the University of Turku?

The page accepts the PTE Academic online test. Results must be attached to the application by the end of the supplementation period (28 January 2027) and remain verifiable for at least one month after the application time ends (21 February 2027). The PTE test cannot be verified after two years, so an older result is not valid. When taking the test, Turku asks you to choose the University of Turku as a recipient where possible. PTE Core is not mentioned.

On the same page, IELTS Academic is 6.5 with 6.0 in each part, and IELTS Online and One Skill Retake are accepted. Combined TOEFL scores from different dates are not accepted.

You are exempt if you hold a degree from an English-language programme in the EU/EEA or a listed country, which includes India, Nigeria, the Philippines, Ghana, Kenya and Singapore, provided at least half of the degree was completed in English and the documents state it. Secondary education in English in the EU/EEA, Australia, Canada, the UK, Ireland, New Zealand, the US or Switzerland also counts. Turku says no exceptions are made to the test minimums.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Turku programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.

Pearson has discontinued PTE Academic Online for new bookings, so plan on a test-centre PTE Academic sitting even where this page still lists the online version. See can you take PTE at home.
