What TOEFL score do you need for the University of Victoria?

Both pages give UVic's TOEFL institution code as 0989, and both refuse scores more than two years old. Undergraduate scores must be official and sent directly by the testing organisation; the page says UVic accepts the online tests offered by TOEFL. Graduate studies accepts the TOEFL iBT at a test centre or the iBT Home Edition, accepts TOEFL MyBest scores, and lets you upload an unofficial score at application, with the official report sent by ETS if you get an offer.

For comparison, the undergraduate page sets IELTS Academic at 6.5 with no component below 6.0, and the graduate page asks IELTS 6.5 with no section below 6.0.

Undergraduate applicants to Business, Engineering and Computer Science, Fine Arts, Art History and Visual Studies, Music (BA), Humanities, Science or Social Sciences may get conditional admission at the lower level in the table; you register for degree courses as usual but must meet the full requirement by the date in your offer email. ELC preliminary admission gives some faculties' applicants up to 24 months to meet the requirement through the English Language Centre's Intensive English Program. At graduate level, completing UVic's University Admission Preparation (UAP) course with at least 80% meets the requirement.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your UVic programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
