Test rules and how to send your score

The graduate page says scores are official only when sent directly to the Graduate School from the testing agency. None of the pages mentions PTE Academic Online, PTE Core, a validity period or a Pearson institution code.

On the same tables, IELTS is 6.0, TOEFL is 79 (or 4.5 from 21 January 2026) and Duolingo is 110. So PTE 53 is UWF's PTE equivalent of IELTS 6.0.

If you fall short

Completing UWF's Intensive English Program with a recommendation from an IEP administrator meets the requirement for both graduate applicants and undergraduates with 60 or more credit hours. Undergraduates with 60 or more hours can also use a C or higher in English Composition (ENC 1101) at a US college.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your UWF programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
