What PTE score do you need for Uppsala University?

University Admissions accepts "Pearson PTE Academic or PTE Academic Online". Upload a copy of your score report (online-test results should be uploaded), then use your PTE account to assign the result to "University Admissions in Sweden" so it can be verified online. Results that cannot be verified are not accepted. The page gives no separate PTE expiry period and does not mention PTE Core.

On the same page, IELTS Academic is 6.5 with no section below 5.5 for English 6 and 7.0 with no section below 6 for English 7. A few master's courses ask for English 5 instead; the page lists no separate PTE score for that level.

Pearson has discontinued PTE Academic Online for new bookings, so plan on a test-centre PTE Academic sitting even where this page still lists the online version. See can you take PTE at home.

University Admissions also accepts upper secondary or university studies from some countries as proof of English 6, including 60 ECTS credits taught in English in the EU/EEA, Switzerland or certain English-speaking countries. Uppsala's master's page says the English 7 requirement for the Master's Programme in English generally cannot be met with an English-taught degree and needs an approved test. Neither page describes a conditional offer.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Uppsala programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
