What Duolingo score do you need for UW-Milwaukee?

Both pages let you upload a copy of your official IELTS or Duolingo score report into the application portal, and both say scores cannot be more than two years old. Individual graduate programmes may require higher scores than the minimums.

Some international teaching assistants who will have classroom duties must take the Milwaukee International Teaching Assistant Assessment (MITAA), the graduate page says. It names no DET level for that role.

On the same pages, IELTS is 6.0 for undergraduate full admission and 6.5 for graduate regular admission.

Dual Admission graduate students must show full English proficiency within three semesters, either with a TOEFL or IELTS score that meets the full admission range or a CEFR C1 portfolio assessment through EAP courses. The page does not list a new Duolingo score as one of those options.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your UW-Milwaukee programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
