How WVU handles TOEFL scores
WVU does not accept expired scores, scores it cannot verify, or institutional TOEFLs (TOEFL ITP). You report score verification details with the application or through the portal; if WVU can verify them you do not need to send official results. The undergraduate page lists WVU's TOEFL code as 5904.

If your TOEFL score is below WVU's level
Many undergraduate applicants to WVU Morgantown can apply for Intensive English Program conditional admission and move to regular admission by finishing the English programme or sending a qualifying score. The English Language Pathways Program, for the TOEFL range in the table, combines English courses with some general education courses over one or two semesters. Neither option is open to WVU Online, Potomac State or WVU Tech applicants.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your WVU programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
