1

How often do you go to an airport?

I'd say a couple of times a year, usually when I'm heading off on holiday or visiting relatives abroad. The last time I went was about six months ago when I flew from Manchester to visit a friend in Spain, which was quite straightforward.

2

What do you usually do while waiting for a flight?

To be honest, I mostly browse the duty-free shops or grab a coffee at one of the cafes. I like to kill time by reading a novel on my phone, especially if there's a long delay, just to keep myself occupied before boarding.

3

Do you prefer small regional airports or large international ones?

Definitely smaller ones, because they're far less stressful to navigate. Huge international hubs tend to have endless queues at security and customs, whereas regional terminals let you get from the check-in desk to the departure gate in barely fifteen minutes.

4

Did you travel by aeroplane much when you were a child?

Not really, no. My family usually went on staycations or took the train across the country. I think I only took my first proper flight when I was about twelve, when we went on a package holiday to Greece, which felt incredibly exciting back then.

5

What would make airports more comfortable for passengers?

I think having more quiet zones with cushioned seating would make a massive difference. At the moment, a lot of departure lounges are noisy and overcrowded, so having dedicated rest pods or free charging stations would help travellers unwind before their journey.

Details are invented. Use the shape, not the sentences: examiners mark memorised answers down.
