1

Do you often visit a bank?

Hardly ever these days, to be honest. I used to pop into my local branch to pay in cheques or withdraw cash, but now I do virtually everything on my mobile phone. The last time I actually set foot in one was about six months ago to sort out a replacement debit card.

2

Do you prefer banking online or visiting a branch in person?

Definitely online. It's just far more convenient because I can check my balance or transfer money at any time of day without having to queue up. That said, if I ever had a complicated issue, like applying for a mortgage, I'd probably still prefer speaking to someone face to face.

3

Did you have a bank account when you were younger?

Yes, I did. I think my parents opened a junior savings account for me when I was around ten. I remember having a little passbook that the cashier would stamp whenever I deposited my pocket money or birthday cash, which always felt quite grown-up at the time.

4

What makes a good bank, in your opinion?

For me, it really comes down to reliable customer service and a decent mobile banking app. If an app is clunky or constantly crashes, it's a real headache. Transparent fees are also a big plus, because nobody likes being hit with unexpected charges.

5

Do you think physical bank branches will disappear in the future?

I don't think they'll vanish entirely, but their numbers will definitely keep shrinking. Elderly people and small business owners often rely on over-the-counter services for cash deposits, so banks will probably keep a few flagship branches open in major town centres.

Details are invented. Use the shape, not the sentences: examiners mark memorised answers down.
