1

Do you usually carry a water bottle with you?

Yes, almost always. I try to stay hydrated throughout the day, so I keep a reusable stainless steel flask in my rucksack whenever I leave my flat. It is really handy, especially when I am walking to the train station or spending long hours in the library.

2

What kind of bottles do you prefer to use?

I definitely lean towards metal or glass ones rather than single-use plastic. They just feel sturdier and keep cold drinks chilled for much longer. I have got this insulated metal flask that I use for both ice-cold water in summer and hot tea in winter.

3

Did you use a water bottle when you were a child?

I did, yeah. My mum used to pack a small plastic drinks bottle with cartoon characters on it into my school bag every morning. To be honest, I was quite clumsy back then and frequently lost or cracked them in the playground.

4

Do you prefer drinking from a glass or straight from a bottle?

It depends on where I am, really. If I am relaxing at home or in a restaurant, I would rather pour the drink into a glass because it feels a bit nicer. But on the go, drinking straight from the bottle is obviously far more practical.

5

Have you ever kept empty glass bottles to reuse them?

Quite often, actually. My family often rinses out old glass cordial bottles or sauce jars to store homemade salad dressings or dried herbs in the pantry. It cuts down on waste and saves us buying fancy storage containers.

Details are invented. Use the shape, not the sentences: examiners mark memorised answers down.
