1

Do you often buy flower bouquets?

Not very often, to be honest. I usually only buy them for special events like my mum’s birthday or Mother’s Day. Last month, I picked up a lovely bunch of yellow tulips from a local florist near my flat, and they really brightened up the dining table.

2

On what occasions do people in your country usually give bouquets?

Well, they are quite popular for milestone events like weddings, anniversaries, and graduations. People also send them to express sympathy or just to say thank you. For instance, when my sister finished university last year, nearly everyone in her class was handed a colourful bouquet after the ceremony.

3

Have you ever received a bouquet of flowers as a gift?

Yes, I have, actually. A couple of years ago, my colleagues got me a stunning bouquet of white lilies when I was recovering from a bad flu. It was completely unexpected, and having them in my living room definitely lifted my spirits during that week.

4

What kind of flowers do you like to have in a bouquet?

I am quite fond of wild flowers and seasonal blooms, especially things like peonies and lavender. I prefer arrangements that look a bit rustic and natural rather than overly structured. Plus, the scent of fresh lavender is just wonderful to have around the house.

5

Would you like to learn how to arrange flower bouquets?

I would love to, actually. I think floristry is a fantastic creative outlet. A friend of mine did a weekend workshop on floral design recently and made this gorgeous table centrepiece, so I am hoping to sign up for a similar class sometime next summer.
